Missed this post, sorry for the delay.
- You can definitely get Artist + Album (that's there now). Length of the song is probably somewhere in the Album art metadata, I'd have to take a look.
- I can't get current position or playlist, since Spotify doesn't expose that in a friendly way

What do you mean by the sensitivity of the volume controls? Try changing the 5th checkbox (the rather awkwardly named "change volume only for Spotify") to see if that gets you better granularity

Toastify 1.6.9
Spotify 0.9.14.13
Windows 8.1 x64.
It does indeed toast when pressing play, however only after a long time being paused. If I pause/stop playing and wait several minutes before pressing play, the toast does not appear. Not sure how many minutes/hours you need to be paused before getting toast on play. Any insight? Possible to implement an option to set this "timeout"?

Hi,
Fantastic tool this. Only thing I feel I am lacking is the ability to quickly check out a track. I used to use foobar and loved skipping increments through the track. You could rapidly get to various sections without having to get the mouse involved.

Nice idea. 1.7.0 has a present for you :)
Note: This is an initial implementation. Jump is about 5 seconds based on Spotify's set interval. I'll look to tweak this later on.

Unable to get toastify to work fully:
It just says: "Nothing's playing" in the toast (even when something is playing). Yet, I am still able to control spotify through toastify with my global shortcuts.
I am on windows 8.1. Any ideas anyone?

I don't like the position of Toastfy. I would like if the notifications would be displayed in 100% of screen, on the top , with custom height. I think the approximate 100px height is better, but all this information could be made in options of Toastfy.

You can change the position of Toastify by holding down Ctrl and dragging the toast around. You can also adjust Width and Height in the Settings under "Toast".

If it's 1.0.1.805.gd2412973 then that's the Beta version and Toastify has issues with that version. If you look at https://toastify.codeplex.com/workitem/13358 you'll see the same issue. I've checked in code that allows you to control the Beta, but Toasts do not work (Spotify support for them isn't there).

As a minor gripe the i experience the following...
i have the 'Rewind' mapped to 'CTRL + <' - this works fantastic i can hold '<' permanently down and tap CTRL and get repeat 5 second decrements. :D
i have the 'fast forward' mapped to 'CTRL + >' - this is not quite so responsive and i have to keydown 'CTRL' then tap '>' then repeat the entire keydown sequence to increment.
it seems somehow the decrement functionality is giving me a slightly superior experience.
It could be my keyboard but i don't think it is.
Anyway much much appreciated work :D

yeah sorry to confirm, there is definitely a bug in there where by once you have used skip with either 'ALT' or 'CONTROL' the rewind decrement is mapped to a global press of either the 'ALT' or 'CONTROL' you have used.
So for me when i have rewound then tap 'CTRL' all on its own spotify will rewind.

Weird - can you open an issue under: https://toastify.codeplex.com/workitem/list/basic and I'll investigate (I'll start without the Issue, but it's great to have the Issue for tracking)? This will likely have something to do with the new input injection. Repeating the full sequence is expected, hitting Ctrl by itself is not...

New Post: How to set Toastify always on top?
So for some reason Toastify doesn't appear on top all the time.
I have to close and open the application again for Toastify to appear above my applications, but after a while it doesn't work anymore. Then I can only see it when I'm on my desktop...
I like the feature because when I'm listening to a random playlist I'd like to see what song it is I'm listening to.
I did look at the previous thread where someone said to apply this: http://www.programmingtidbits.com/post/2013/01/05/Setting-WPF-Window-to-be-Always-on-Top.aspx
But I don't know how to do that.

Hello there,
Is there any way to keep the Toastify Window always visible on top of all windows? Since the Hotkey function doesn't work properly with games running in fullscreen mode it would be helpful if the window, displaying the song name, is always visible.
Also, somehow the position of the window isn't saved properly for me. Ctrl+Dragging the window doesn't save the position correctly. So when the window pops up the next it's position is were it was in the beginning.
If I use the offset function it works correctly but only until I restart my pc.
Transparancy options and the border corner radius is working correctly, even after restarting
