Ok, a fix for the empty string is checked in - I'll just wait for you to confirm that your template is empty before pushing this out, in case there is something else that needs to be fixed. Thanks for the bug report!

Hey guys!
I've changed WAIT_BETWEEN_HOTKEY_PRESS to 600 to make it better and it really is!
150 value makes Toastify to change pause/play/pause/play song by one simple hotkey click. That was bad but after changing it to 600 it's amazing!
Anyway cool program , keep on going.

Thanks! I've played with different values and may just cave in and make it configurable - for example, 600ms is way too high for my keyboard (that's over half a second and I sometimes want to quickly skip multiple songs). 150ms seemed to cut down on most double presses, can you try 200 - 250?

Hi,
Please add a simple option to control how long the toast remains on screen.
I for one like it to be on screen for about 10 seconds. But I know most don't need it that long.
Also, would be nice if I could access Toastify remotely (think json-rpc) so I can send it to XBMC. ;)

You're looking for Settings -> Toast -> FadeOut Time
(not sure why there is no space there, I'll fix that up later). Note that currently the value is in ms, so you'd want it to be 10000.
As for the remote access - can you clarify a little more as to what you'd like to accomplish?

I want to send playback information, same info, that toastify shows, on my TV running XBMC. :)
If I could access tastify's output via jason-rpc then it could be forwarded to XBMC. :)

Just started to use Toastify in a project I'm building (a usb plug-in media controller for spotify). I have already been able to have the device work with toastify's global hotkeys in order to control spotify, but I'd like to be able to get information back to the device, such as current song, artist etc.
With your hotkeys for copying and pasting the track name, I believe I should be able to do this (watch this space), but I was hoping that you might consider for future releases allowing to get information such as the artist, album name etc and copy those to clipboard as with the song name?
Things that would possibly be nice to have (I've no idea how many if any are feasible or possible):
-> Artist name
-> Album Name
-> Length of track, current position in track.
-> Playlist name
On a side note, again, I've no idea how possible this is, but it would be nice to modify the sensitivity of the volume controls?

Oh, cool! To me it only appears when hitting next/previous, not when starting from paused. Not sure about the Spotify-version, windows 8.1. I've only used Toastify on my work computer though, and that's affected by lots of restrictive policies so I'll try it at home over the weekend. I'll let you know
